Beicip-Franab and Halliburton Landmark Sign Multi-Year Software Agreement

Beicip-Franlab and Halliburton Landmark are pleased to announce that they have entered into a multi-year agreement for Beicip-Franlab to use the Halliburton Landmark DecisionSpace® software suite for delivery of integrated geoscience projects.

Beicip-Franlab’s choice was driven by the DecisionSpace industry-standard, subsurface data management solution, OpenWorks®. This solution offers a multi-user, dynamic, structural framework modeling (Dynamic Frameworks-to-Fill®) workflow that includes advanced characterization, such as geostatistical velocity modeling.

James Etienne, Director, Exploration and Reservoir Solutions Halliburton Landmark, had this to say about the agreement: “We are very pleased that Beicip-Franlab made the decision to use DecisionSpace Geosciences for delivery of integrated projects. We trust Beicip will gain efficiency and value with the Dynamic Frameworks-to-Fill approach that fosters collaboration among people and cuts down the interpretation cycle with on-the-fly structural model building and Quality Control while interpreting.” He also emphasized, “Going forward, we will continue to work closely with Beicip-Franlab as collaborative partners, supporting their leading-edge E&P expertise via Landmark’s cloud-native Artificial Intelligence technology for assisted seismic and well interpretation.”

Speaking for Beicip-Franlab, Jean Burrus said, “Landmark has a unique and differentiating way of addressing multi-user and multi-disciplinary collaboration challenges with OpenWorks and DecisionSpace Geosciences. This is key to our daily interpretive activities, as we typically work with cross-domain teams requiring geophysicists, geologists, structural modelers and petrophysicists to all work on one source of data, accessing each contributor’s updates in a seamless manner. With the adoption of DSG, we are seeking time savings, consistent modeling and quality delivery of projects, specifically when building structural models for our oil and gas reservoir assets.”

Both parties look towards a future of optimized exploration, field development and production with the use of specialized software solutions that reflect client needs.
